On Wednesday, February 9th, CPP Brazil Project Manager Emilia Bretan and CPP Special Advisor Micheal Montogmery visited the Center for High Studies in Security (CAES) and the School of Soldiers (both education organs of the São Paulo State Military Police) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In the morning, Colonel Marco Antonio Alves Miguel, the new Commandant of CAES received us for a meeting, as well as Cap. Arlindo Junior, Chief of the Research Center of CAES.

Cap. Junior participated in the CPP Canadian Study Tour in October and November, 2010.

In the afternoon, Cel Arruda (former Commandant of CAES), the new commandant of the School of Soldiers, and 1st Lieutenant Cintia Oshikiri, another participant of the CPP Canadian Study Tour, received us in their impressive training center. We had the chance to tour the area and installations of the school, with the opportunity to see practical training and theoretical lessons for the police soldiers being trained there.

During both these meetings, we discussed the upcoming CPP Brazil Study Tour that will happen in March. We also reafirmed the amazing partnership that CPP has developed with the SP Military Police. We further discussed other actions such as trainings for Police Officers and other possibilities of engagement in the future.
