The "Because I Am a Girl" event held on September 19, 2010 at Queen Sirikit Convention Center in Thailand was a great success!
 
An opening speech made by His Excellency, Abhisit Vejjajiva, focused on the importance of girls and their contributions to ICT.
 
Plan Thailand presented a report on Thailand on girls using ICT, threats and opportunities.
 
More than 300 people, including young boys and girls, attended the event and photo exhibition taken by 15 girls from the province of Chiang Rai.
